Inspirational Quote by J.K. Rowling

'We do not need magic to change the world, we carry all the power we need inside ourselves already: we have the power to imagine better.''

As is a tale, so is life: not how long it is, but how good it is, is what matters.'

Me & My Soliloquy...

*This lovely photo of Soliloquy is reproduced with lots of thanks from Heather's Blog.

I am proud to announce that I have acquisited yet another rare piece of new vintage necklace to my expanding collection of custom made jewellery.
My Soliloquy is made with love by my all-time vintage jewellery designer, Heather.
Here's the Soliloquy Story penned by Heather:
Poor Puffy the little bluebird flies around the garden looking for his friends who have migrated for the winter ! As he flies around he sings to himself...sob sob..Even though the garden is turning white for the winter there is still one brave little flower still showing its autumn colours !

Made with rare vintage pieces sourced by heather from around the globe, the brave little flower is a vintage Haskell finding dated around 1940-50s. The enamel white flowers are about 1960s. Puffy, the cute little blue bird, is relatively new from around the 1980s.

Check out H's collection on her blog and you will know why I adore her vintage jewellery collection. Click now for a preview of her collection -

p/s: For those interested to learn this exquisite skill on the art of jewellery making, Heather unfortunately does not conduct jewellery making classes.

My Favourite Links

Check out my favourite links on the left hand side of my blog. I will continuously update them in my blogroll and even feature one of the designers in my main post.

Hope you have fun checking them out, just as I had fun buying their stuff.

Stay tuned!

Pant Lovers Unite!

Pants are "IN" this season.

With this fall season, there are so many versatile styles just with a pair of black skinny pants.

According to net-a-porter.com, skinny pants are perenially chic, available in an array of guises and work with every new trend. Now, don't we all agree?

As quoted by net-a-porter, it gives the right tip on how to wear the SKINNY Pants - "Take on Fall's power dressing trend with a tailored blazer and pushed-up sleeves and finish with 160mm stilettos. Alternatively, play rock chick for a day in metalic pants, a sequinned tank and piles of layered chains."

Keep a look out for Harem Pants as you should have a pair for the Fall Season. I just bought a pair in GG5 over the weekend.

As an ardent supporter of local fashion designers, GG5 is one of my top favourite shopping haunts. Well, just for the simple reason that I will not go broke and yet be able to emulate some of the latest runway trends. Its designs are affordable, flexible, wearable and made of good quality materials. Of course, it's even better if you establish good friendships with its store manager. You will get calls once new arrivals are in :)

We should all continue to support the local designers so that they can shine in the international runways! Ashley Isham is a good shining example.

Cheers to the local designers!

Finally....

My Very Own Blog.

For those who chance upon my BLOG:) I would like to say A BIG HELLO to you !

Today is an auspicious day to start my new project as it's the Mid-Autumn Festival, a perfect time for family reunion! Hope you have tasted some of the yummiest mooncakes but in moderation as they ain't the healthiest food. As my dear galfriend cum fitness training instructor , Lynn, would tell her fellow gymm mates - If you see a mooncake, pls run far far away! :)

Why Now? This is a very much delayed personal project which has not seen the light of the day due to various reasons. I never thought that I would one day embark on this blog project as it always seems like a time-consuming hobby which I wasn't keen to jump on the bloggers' wagon.

I've also never bothered to spend time to read anyone's blogs until recently when friends started directing me to theirs. Time management is really a BIG issue when you start to form your family and work zaps a lot of your energy away from embarking on your personal milestones.

This blog is the beginning of my journey in engaging the world and like-minded fashionistas who share the same passion.

What to expect? A very passionate shopaholic at heart, I will be very generous to share some (not all :) of my favourite fashion and shopping sites. I have established friendship even with my favourite and very talented jewellery designer, Heather, who is also a very dedicated stay home mummy. Check out her designs by clicking the link on the left hand side of my blog.

You will also start seeing photos of some of my pre-loved stuff (in extremely good condition) which are for sale. Part of my valuable possesions, they have to make way for New Stuff that I've acquired during my shopping trips. Please be patient with me as I have to set aside some time for photo taking.

Of course, being a relatively young mummy, I would also be sharing good mummy sites for tips and updates on parenting. Based on my observations of my daughter (who's two and a half years), the world of parenting has taken a 360 degree turn as they are certainly more precocious and smarter. You certainly can't fool them easily and these kiddos will remember your promises to them.

How to contact me? Please feel free to drop me an email at shopaholic.taitai@gmail.com if you have any good shopping and fashion sites to share. It can be on any topic from clothes to accessories to shoes to make-up.

Have a great week ahead! It can only get better and beautiful.....

Cheers, Celine
